We are looking for a BD MANAGER (GENERAL FREIGHT) for a reputable MNC in the Shipping /Logistics industry. Our client is a market leader in the industry  employing nearly 10,000 people in 100+ countries.

 

THE ROLE:

  •  Responsible for developing logistics business (for General Freight), through effective sales campaigns and strategies to develop new client base both in local and overseas market.
  • To develop trade lanes, identify and source for partners/agents (both locally and overseas).
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for new clients / new projects.
  • Work closely with internal and external parties to ensure fulfillment of client’s needs, including managing of KPI and operational cost, ensure compliance with established commercial agreement and guidelines.
  • Conduct market research, ensure competitiveness in pricing and related strategies.

THE ROLE:

  • Provide support during crew deployment and other operational requirements of vessels.
  • Co-ordinating and attending to principal’s port agency requirements.
  • Coordination and monitoring of vessels’ portcalls.
  • Daily liaison with terminals, agents and vessels, providing information and assistance to other Departments/Agencies.
  • Assist the Operations Manager in daily vessel operations/schedules.
  • Attend to other requirements from the vessels.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidate must have a Diploma in Maritime / Shipping or equivalent.
  • Good attitude, communication skills.

Our client is a well established China-based MNC in the Shipping and Energy Sector.

 

THE ROLE:

  • Overall in charge of all operations for a Fleet of tankers
  • Oversee the technical, operational, compliance, crewing, safety and development of the Fleet
  • Manage the Fleet’s deployment, operating cost and budgets
  • Manage the performance of the Fleet, ensure vessels are adequately staffed by quality crew to meet operational needs
  • Ensure Compliance with Class and Charter Party
  • Overseeing New-built, Repairs and/or Engineering Projects undertaken by builders/contractors

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidate must have at least 10 years of relevant experience in related industry
  • Possess a Master Mariner / COC  Class 1 certification
  • Ship Management and Sailing experience on-board tanker
  • Experienced in all areas of ship management including operations, technical and crewing
  • Strong leadership quality to lead a large team of superintendents and crew personnel
  • Able to communicate in spoken/written Chinese to communicate with Chinese-Speaking owner, clients and crew

  • Ensure good operational efficiency through effective cost management while achieving high standards of product quality and productivity during the operations.
  • To keep abreast of relevant market trends such as competition and oil prices.
